I was of the opinion that they were about £10K ish

i was going to get one,10,000 plus shipping but it was vert difficult to get one over here without owning it in s.a for 6 months then bringing it in on a personal import,i tried but give up in the end,nice car but not 25000  8O

Yeah that's what I was thinking!!!

I know that there's peeps on the forum from SA and as such i'm sure something could be worked out - specially if it saves you £15K    . I guess that the vehicle would need a full IVA and I've also been told that they have no 'crash test information' on these and as such are pretty hard to get through?   :dontknow: . Just thinking that one of the 'r' models sat next to a mint original campaign would look brilliant!

I think they use the dash out of a skoda on the current citi. Not sure what model though, but a bit of googling and a trip to the scrappy and you might be in luck.

Maybe me having bad taste but I think that interior leaves alot to be desired to be honest!. You'd think if this is the last 'nod' to the original hot hatch and they're only going to manufacture 1000 they'd pull out all the stops! Bolting in a generic dash 'off the shelf' seems like a bit of a cop out. I can understand it from a commercial point of view, but as an entusiast not so sure…..  :dontknow:

Have to mention that I don't have anything against skodas BTW just in case you think i'm a badge whore!

25K! Blimey! Mind you, the very last MK1 went up for auction here in SA and sold for ZAR 300,000!! Around 25,000 quid!

I saw one driving though Jo'burg the other day, the blue is very nice, but the stripe down the side is bling chrome! Not so nice..
