depends on the sunroof
If its factory, then it shouldnt effect the price..
If its an aftermarket one, them most people would be put off by it.. I personally dont like sunroofs so would avoid them.. But i guess its down to the overall condition of the car and the rest of it..
But replacing it, how do you plan on doing it? as welding in a section could warp the roof…

Glass sunroof would put people off… a bad repair will too… trust me enthusiasts notice these things!!
If your going that way then get it done properly… it seems your looking to sell straight after if you're worried about the re-sale value? :dontknow:

I would replace the roof skin or leave the glass roof in it, rather then filling such a large flat area like the sunroof hole.
You will 100% see the filler in there, even if it is done very well i would still be able to notice it had been filled.
Buts its your car and your choice

Oright m8, I'm restoring my old 83 and it had a glass aftermarket sunny fitted too. Luckily for me, my old mans a shizhot pannel beater…
Old sunny Out:
Plate welded in (tacked inside and out). Roof support section added (courtesy of a mk2 in the local scrappy)
Skim of filler/touch proxy:
Wash:
Red oxide:
Touch more sanding and filling:
Primared/job done:
The pics don't do it any justice, but you really cant tell the sunny was ever there. I got a long way before paint goes on to show you the finished result, but roof lines are pucka. If the guy taking the job on is any good you should be ok.

Was a time when a golf with a glass roof couldnt be given away, but now with fewer cars remaining and less choice dont think its so bad, i would sooner have a sound car with a glass roof than a rusty one
