My predicament, moving away for a year.

Hello one and all!

I plan to move to New Zealand for a year and a couple of months in early November.
I'm really struggling to find a place to store my MK1!!
The sites on the net that advertise long term car storage are about £20+ every week which is far too much for me!!

Has anybody else been in the same situation? What did you do, any advice would be great becuse the last thing I want to do is sell it because its not in the best of condition so I would be making an epic loss.

Thanks

Whereabouts in the country are you? Might be able to store it at low cost, probably outside tho...?

i would have a good think about it, is there not a farmer with a barn or local company with large space that have been around for a while where you could store it in a corner under a car cover?

obviously its tricky as you wana know its safe but rekon you can improve on 15-20 per week !

best of luck

try the council for lock ups, advert in local newsagent, contact letting agencies they may have properties with empty garages or garages on there own, try farms they have big dry barns, and ask neighbours, friends relatives they must know someone with empty garage who would like some rent good luck
