My old MK1.. what was I thinking

Thought I would share some pics of my old Mk1. What can I say I was 17 and thought it was cool… can't believe this was 20 years ago.. how old do I feel.  ops:

It had a peco back box on it which made it very very loud and it was very very slow, it had a 1500 engine that must have been knackered.

That red grill is just toooooooo much

Gotta love the white walls boy did they screech like hell even round bends a 10mph.. believe the American films that screeching is real

Is that a '76 P plater? Cool back then maybe but if you still had the car in good, unmodified condition you would be a millionaire!

rajan is going to have a mk1 golf auction in about 20 years time to set up his family for life  

Wow that red one is hideous! Having said that, there are people "modify" their MK1's currently that are as bad. I especially hate the rat look, what's that all about?
