My mums x-reg mk1 gti

Hi, I wondered if there was anyone out there who could help me with getting some photos/info. about my mums old golf. I would just like to see some photos and maybe information on what engine it would have had etc….

It was a black golf gti - I remember very well going to school in it for years, it was a great car!

It had a green stripe down the side and around the front grill. It was an X reg too.

Anybody own one? got any pics???

hi chudd , thanks - tried that - got to about page 45 and couldnt go on…………….

I will see if she can remember the reg.

I've mainly seen mk1 's with red stripes - would green have been on the cars too - or is this some sort of early customisation by a previous owner?

My mum bought the car a couple of months old.

Might well have been a custom , nice if you could find the reg no so we can see what happened to it  :dontknow:
