My Mk1 Citi, worth selling?

I did put a bid on this on ebay but you in my opinon were asking too much for it.
Only problem i see as regards citi golfs is negative sometimes childish comments towards a car of which i also own which as been an absolutley top notch car for 6 years i had mine and i will defo not sell it.
It's not a real mk1 etc (Yes it is Look at the autostadt), car looked at some shows meets with snubbery thus i choose no longer to go to any to entertain the minor few.
This is why i feel yours as not sold as the citi in the past is spoken about in a negative way yet since my ownership i can only speak positive and not being bias, on  fact that mine as never let me down apart from once due to electrical fault due to previous owner now sorted.
But i do service mine every 4 month without fail, not because needed, but i want to and the result are i never have the need for the AA etc.
Don't sell it, enjoy it, they are now inline for being a classic as sa no longer make this car as from feb 2010, so if you do not want to drive it put it away.
Anyway thats my little rant lol.
Have fun with it you only live once

Thats a Clean looking Golf Max

Whats the interior like.

Why are u planning on selling it.

I owned a Citi 5 Years ago, it was a 1.6 N reg with Aircon.

Regret selling it as it was fun to drive.

Interior is spot on, it's got a rip on the drivers seat though! The zip on my tracksuit bottoms did it… I was so pissed off!

Seat sometimes comes off the sliding rail too sometimes, very basis inside… No clock, rev counter

I was thinking of selling it as I keep noticing small bits of rust, I.e bottom of drivers door. I can't afford to keep it in a garage or have it treated.

Just a question…

What are the best reasonable priced lowering springs to get?

Very nice golf btw bert!

Cheers mate, very nice car!

Are they the original wheels still on there? Or have they been powdercoated?

Any chance you still have the lowering kit?

Lowering kit i sold to my mate as he only is the one that gets in his car lol so can use lowered .
The wheels that came with it when i bought it were bbs ra lookalikes, so i purchased steel G60 wheels which me personally i think they suit the golf perfectly.
They have not been painted etc, they are like that from new when i bought them.
An idea for you fella as the citi golf looks as thou it sits higher if your on original citi suspension is you see the sump pan, steering rod arm etc underneath.
Fit a MK3 golf front splitter to front bumper, i bought new one not gen vw but excellent copy from ebay cheap from poland, abit of cutting in the centre and looks excellent on the citi bumper.
I took some pics of mine but i got them on disc somewhere, but i found one here, same colour as yours
I fitted a mk3 VR6 splitter you can see in the pic above but i found it too fat for the design of the car, eventually found the mk3 golf CL, Match splitter which is shown on this white citi.
