MOT passed!

..eventually.

Had a test done on Friday 27th, failed on 8 minor-enough things.  I don't have the experience to be doing anything with brakes - I wouldn't want to try - so I just had the garage do the repairs necessary.

?320 later and I've got a clean MOT certificate, on the same date it has always been, AFAIK!  1st August 2008 I've got until to enjoy it

So, I got it home, and put on my new accessory:



Roofrack!

Stuck a badge on the back that I bought at a VW show in the Netherlands while I was working there,



(I've now tippexed out the screws - will have to wait 'til morning to see how bad they look!)

And I put the period European-traveller yellow tints:



They were a great help during my 4.5 months abroad, and as far as I'm aware they're legal here because they don't bend the beam, they just yellow it.

Anyway, I'm happy with it!  Not sure if I'll leave it on all the time or not.  Will have to check out how much it slows me down and how much fuel it uses.

What do you think?  I had the Desmo roofrack (with original fitting instruction sheet!) from eBay for ?70 incl P&P.
