i really could do with a car to take parts off
ive got a really solid shell with an engine but not much else as it look like someone has used the car for spares for another
so which car is better to get for spares for a cabby ?

am new to this aswell, i heard swapping the mk2 brake servo etc is a good brakin upgrade for the mk1, is this right? n is it simple.
There's different servos on different models of Mk2. The only one which is an 'upgrade' would be the 16V GTI, which is 9" servo and 22mm master cylinder.

so just the brakes, think am gona put a mk1gti axel on for rear brak discs, i'v been lookin at mating a 3a bubbleblock wiv a kr 1.8 head on webers.
Rear discs are a moot point - not really worth the hassle?

but don't know if its worth it, i'm also toying wiv the idea of putin a deisel box on as i'v heard its abit quicker, accelerationwise.
Go and find the person who told you that, and slap them in the face with a large fish. Complete b******s.
