MK1 Prices

What's the current situation regarding MK1 GTI prices?

Last time I looked late Mk2's were fetching stronger money…

Just look on the price guide mate.

Although it just seems like a matter of, what someone will pay recently.

You can get a mk2 GTI decent one, for about ?800.00, you look at mk1 GTI's at that price

Okay I'm confused, when Iwas trying to sell my MK1 Campaign last summer, I was told that it would be worth me repainting it to get top money - about ?3,500 - of course now it's repainted in original Diamond Silver I don't want to sell it any more.

It was offered mechanically perfect with a big box of bits for ?1,500 - all welding done etc, etc, but in primer.

So mark 2's haven't taken off then, but is my car worth 3,5K???

theres been loads recently around the 5k mark so your probally not far off any pics?

i paid 4500 for mine last march off `the chef `,the refurb was on here,and its been seen on massive speed(see tv and mags)i think its worth more,rebored 2 ,1.9 too,very fast and totally original
