MK1 or not!

A VW Golf G Reg Cabriolet, a MK1 or not??

I have had a major strop today at a show to state that it is a MK1.

A show?

It best be….or im off……………………………….
Mk2 golf wings wont fit mine,so YES  :wink:

I'd like to know where this myth came from. Plenty of other cars have different bodystyles which run for different year ranges, for example Merc and BMW estates often lag a couple of years behind the equivalent saloons, so parts suppliers should know year + body style defines which model range a car is. Renault 5 and Clio also overlapped 2 series based on trim spec, etc. Its not rocket science, after all!

the same applies for the mk3 cabrio, its kinda like a mk3.5, but in my mind it will always be a mk3
