mk1 golf kitcar?

does one exist? have ou seen one? fancy something differant?

you could call the mk1 tvr a "kitcar"

why?

think there was a mk1 body shell on a tvr car or somthing like that, im sure i will be corrected  

yeah as far as im aware thats what it was but think it had been reshaped a little it was sold on ebay not too long ago

Not really a "kit" car but there used to be a race series based on single seat racers that used GTI engines.  I think BRM used to run a team in it?

I presume what he is asking is, is there a kit car that is based on mk1 mechanicals and running gear. I cant say that ive come across one, but im sure somebody else will know different.

can't afford to have golf and do kitcar so i was thinking of combining the 2

can you buy carbon fibre kits then? or a kit to mould stuff yourself?

I have a golf mk1 based kitcar, called the mosquito…mid engined open top thing, in use from 1993 to 2003 now available to anyone who wants it for about ?1200 or will break ….has early mechanical injection 4 speed motor, early instruments,  all welcome to call Andy 07725008024 for info and pics!!

most kit cars tend to be based on cars that have sep subframes, ala minis etc as this way the majoirty of the running gear is pre done, so makes it alot easier for the kit maker and the person building it.

If you want a mk1 in kit form, speak to crazyquiff, he's got floor pans, full panels etc etc, bet he's got enought stuff to supply a few kits…..
