MK1 GOLF GTI CC

ALRIGHT, I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE COULD SHED ANY LIGHT ON THE MK1 GOLF GTI CC?? IS IT COCO OR IS IT THE CHRISTMAS :? ??? IHAVE RECENTLY BOUGHT ONE AND WOULD JUST LIKE A LITTLE BIT MORE INFO ON IT, SUCH AS WHEN THEY WERE MADE, HOW MANY MADE AND WHY THEY MADE THEM! ANY GENERAL INFO ON THIS PATICULAR MODEL OF THE GOLF WOULD BE BRILL!!!

CC stands for Christmas Cabriolet.  I don't know why they are also known as Coco Chanel?  From what I have read, there were 750 of these special editions sold in Nov & Dec 1986.

The only differences I know of are interior and trim options.  limited edition interior with CC printed EVERYWHERE on the upholstry, snowflake white alloys.  Not sure what else.

It does my head in!  A previous owner on mine has Coco Chanel printed on a set of aftermarket dials.  They need to go

You're missing the decals on the side and rear though, same as me.  I've been toying with getting some more printed up but I don't know where to get an example from.

Thankyou, have done alot to her, was wanting to get her to show condition, but got to sell her now i have thought about the stickers to, but have the same prob. not sure if the stickers were optional tho.

Shame you're selling.  If you still want the stickers, I know a chap who can replicate  :wink:

The hood also had the cc all over it too.

mines got it all on the inside of the hood, and sun visors
