Mk1 Golf Cabby Help

Hi there im new to all this VW stuff but have just been given an E reg mk1 Golf Karman cabriolet and was wondering if there is anything you can tell me about it.

Im planning on restoring it over time to its original spec but need to know whats original on it and what possibly has been changed.

its a quartet with the wrong grill.
manufacturing date will tell all.

thats an american site, the infos wrong for europe.

Covers usa can eur & uk models.

only lists quartett as 1990 onwards, ive got a birth certificate from the wolfsburg museum saying that mine is a quartett and its 87, ive seen earlier.

Yes i was given it by a family freind its been standing 7 years and the person who's house it was being stored at has had to go into a home so it had to go somewhere.  

well… if you decide its too much for you to cope with or you feel the need to go into a home yourself i would be more than happy to be GIVEN it!  :wink:
