Mk1 cabby's without bumpers? Contraversial....
I've seen tintops without bumpers and I think they look good, however I have a black cab and try as I mite I can't find any pics of cabbys wout bumpers.I'm not sure about this I think to carry it off it would need to be low with wide wheels,I have coilovers and Ive brought a set if 14" spacesavers which are currently being banded 4" front 4.5" rear….still not sure bout bumpers though. It has a clipper kit at the mo but isn't that just the same as all the others?

are you removing all the clipper kit? i dont think it would look right if you left the arches and sill parts of the kit on, all removed and smoothed out nicely with the banded steels would look tough!! maybe some colour coded gti or g60 arches would go well but suppose its down to personal taste! trial and error process!

Go for it! reckon that would look ace, just make sure its done right - like said above, got to get rid of all the kit, get it wide and get it low!

Well The arches and skirts are all blended into the body so if remove bumpers the arches will end where they used to meet bumpers but Im handy at making carbon fibre goodies so was gona make some arch extentions that blend the arches back into body further down,I was thinking leave them unpainted showing the weave…I'll try n get some pics up soon

just found this on pistonheads, i tihnk its got potential and is making me think of a cabby, but the wheels on this are too big and a crap design and hte colour scheme leaves alot to be desired but i can see it would work.

I don't usually like the no bumper look but I've always liked the look of this one:

i think on some little 13x8 or 9 with loads of poke, and stretch on the tyres sitting on the floor it could work.
can you get a 1.1 cabby?
can you get a 1.1 cabby?

i think removing bumpers on any mk1 makes the front look flat and brick like.
