mk 1 cabrio seats

does anyone know what seats (front and rear) will fit in a mk 1 clipper have read about audi tt rear seats fitting straight in, do any adjustments need to be made to the front seat sub frames or again do they bolt straight in, is this possible. thanks

theres a few threads on this somewhere….do a search.

audi tt seats need a subframe for the fronts which if bought from recaro is SUPER expensive, too high and quality wise not worth the cost.  youre best either getting your own made, which is also expensive or getting universal C-shaped ones from demontweeks or similar.

for the rears depending on year of car you will need to tweek the rear bench and rest frames.   the bench may only need 3 simple brackets to hold it down but the rest may need an expensive and heavy full frame.

however, they DO look top once in., but they are a bit of a faff and can be very expensive if you don' t buy them pre-sorted, or you don't know a welder who owes you favours.

BEWARE KY05 UCO, blind and deaf white haired driver of red transit, avoid at all costs, he thinks running cars on to the verge is ok. i'm fine, car's fine, mood and make up not so good.

i know their thinner based than the mk1 tinnys, got some which im sitting on now

:)

aha…. they didnt fit into my mk1 so i made a swizzle chair out of them.

I know mk3s fit into mk2s easy as, so  could imagine this is simular with cabbys…..

Or jsut make the base using bits from both seats, eventually theil be in…

Just cabbys rear noes are thinner which may invlvolve i duno, making space from somewere?

sorry i cant help much.

Did my best.
