miss fire

hi guys my name is alan and i have just joined , and purchased my first mk1 cab auto today
but it seems to have a miss fire and also looses power , can anyone point me in the right direction , or even know a good mechanic in geordie land

Check the spark plugs, plug leads anything electrical to do with sparks and ignition.
