Heater valve keep on leaking
Hi there, i bought my 3rd heater valve on the 1.6 MK1 and keep on leaking,so i blocked off the heater pipes, but its winter again here and is there anyone who have a solution for me. The Masterpart and Goldwagon parts shop said they acknowledge about the problem.
Is there maybe another model or make that will fit there?
Thanks
Leon

Valve on my t4 looks pretty similar mate, been thinking about swapping them, constant heat is not fun in summer!

ive done some research and you can get genuine vw T4 ones ,same part number ( different end letter ) as there a new design they tend to start around £28 delivered on ebay or if you goto one of the rip off places there 41 but there genuine vw so wont break and will last more than 5 miles unlike the non oem ones ( so far had 2 of them a cheap one and a so called german febi one which leaks ) failing that look on ebay for lti or lt1 taxi heater control valves there all metal start from 12.99 and will fit but you will have to possibly alter the pipe work and modify the cable

I just bought and fitted a repro heater control valve.
Haven't had a chance to run the car yet though…
I'll keep an eye on it thanks. urgh.
