lowered the car a bit more

took of the minus 50s as they looked a bit daft with the 165/50s and fitted a set of highsports minus the front helpers(getting a set of splits shortly)

proper slim mk1 mirrors, also sorted the indicator a bit(sat right in)got some pressed british plates from dubmeister and its now sitting getting a 1.3 polo gt multi with 5 speeder fitted for ease of conversion to head down to inters in should have a new set of bumpers and a couple other bits and bobs heading on soon also

spoke to a couple members at alltypes but by the time id actually managed to meet the guy that was buying my old car and transfered docs and cash and got back down they were wrapped up and away  :(  hopefully catch some folk at inters

just a last question, a mate of mine has turned up a set of ally mirrors the same as on mk1 gti's with the door card mount remote but i thought they were only available in the plastic?anyone know otherwise?

Nice car!

Are they Renault clio 16v type 1 wheels??

What suspension are you using, springs & shocks kit or adjustable platforms?  How is the ride?  Sorry for all the questions, but i think the ride height is about perfect and i may consider getting a kit (in some form) this year.

yeah theyre of a phase one clio valver, its running highsport silverlines with no front helpers(to clear the soon to be on splits)but its chewing top mounts because i left the bumpstops in on the front as id rather sport up a couple of top mounts than a coilie re-build. The ride considering im running 165/50s is very good. The last set of coilovers i had on a mk1 were avo versions a few years back and the jump in technology is amazing. Theyre fairly hard/sporty and as always you should be avoiding bumps etc out of courtesy for the car anyway but otherwise im a 31 year old guy whose just out of a passat estate and a bora before that(all on coilies)and its harder than them but still not overfirm. Give me a couple months and ill give you a product review on the konigsports ive got for my other mk1   but on the strength of these im going to be a happy camper

I recognise those photos, are you sure there is no copyright infringement there?

Car was looking ace at Volksfling. I heard rumours that you had sold it for ?3000  8O  or something along those lines.

Any reason you went for the polo engine in the end?

the polo engine turned up cheap went straight in and came with the four branch so not a hard decision lol,we reckon its probably about 85-90brake and its pretty lively lol,the 888r's were a bargain from inters and yeah the cars supposed to be sold although swapped for parts is a more accurate description although i am currently still running about in her  :D
