Lucky find then! I hope it really is….have you looked closely at the sills, under the carpets, near the rear right seat belt mount, etc etc?

And, what engine plans this time? Transferring the cabby engine or a 2nd 20vT, or perhaps something bigger/better?

well i have a list off engines

16vt
20vt
vr6t
v6 bi turbo

but i think it may be a 20vt 4wd

the car is an outstanding find mint in all the right places never welded ect ect

undecided what to do with the cab think im going to keep it as is and just store it over the winter maybe sell it in the spring all depends on finances i could take the lump out and replace it with a digifant then sell

my main thing at the moment is to find a rear diff and gearbox ect may use a golf synchro as a donor or get a haldex its the ecu that puts me off the haldex

If you put a VR6 in, you could be accused of simply copying! Unless yours worked and mine didn't…..

if i put a vr6 in it im sure it would be quick with the 4wd

i think if i can find a mk2 synchro that will be my route to 12 second runs on the strip all depends on engine spec

got to admit v6 bi turbo is appealing wonder how tight that would be

If you're building it for the strip, its going to be worth checking out VWDRC and making sure you fit all the relevant safety gear at the right time - for example, I recently found out that you need a roll cage if you run quicker than 15s. Also as a general guide, Santa Pod recommends:

If you have a roll cage  –> MUST wear a helmet
Above 110mph at finish line –> MUST wear a helmet
Under 12s –> SERIOUSLY consider a roll cage
Under 11s –> Worth considering a parachute

a v6 bi turbo would be sweet!!! would be tight though. bet it would be the first one in the world though. v6 bi turbo 4x4, sounds like a plan!!!!!

Cars crossing the finish line above 200mph are required to have 2 parachutes, according to NHRA safety regs, apparently.
