I am selling my MK1 on fleabay and getting loads of questions about how much I want for it, but I just dont know what it is actually worth!  I have had a look at the chart thing, but it doesnt seem to apply to this model.

I dont want to accept less that i should be due and I dont want to mug people off either!

I'd say ?500-800. You've got bids, and it still has almost 7 days to run, so its looking promising. As I see it, you're not put a reserve on, so you'd have to sell it anyway, even if it went for ?264? Another thing, why do people always ask how much you want for it, in an auction? Don't they know how an auction works?????

ha  - totally agree with you there!  Mind you on ebay people often get let down by auction winners not buying after winning the car, so if anyone wanted to come and see it early to give me the cash I'd be pretty happy to be honest.

I was hoping for around 800, so thanks for that - fingers crossed!  i love the car, but need a family one really.  Just bought a leon cupra for the missus (at least its part of the VAG group ), so with a 2 year old to consider and all the bags that come with it, I need something bigger!

they are, but the associated parafinalia that mothers like to drag along with them, is not.

er yeah, but the car seat, toys, over-night bag, nappies etc arent - oh and the missus

i take it the sat nav came out of someone elses car without the bracket eh  gotta keep the crack heads in gear somehow

haha no - although i have had that happen to me twice.  they break in even if they see the ring where the sucker thing goes on the windscreen in the hope that the sat nav is in the glovebox or something.  copper told me that just after my vectra had its window put through.  luckily it wasnt in there.

reason i aint got the mount is coz the missus cant find it - simple as!  

oh and the nice copper accidently showed me the picture of the smack head that is going around doing it to people on our road - 'you didnt see this picture of him did you sir'

I regularly load myself, my wife and 3 children aged 6, 4 and 2 along with all the parafinalia into my cabby and would think nothing of driving 100miles + in it BUT due to her being pregnant now we will be selling her Proton 1.6 16v injection automatic (or scrapping it) and buying a nice big people carrier type vehicle.
Am about to start trying to persude her we need a VW bus lol

the fact that you have a cabby kinda explains why you can fit it in mate, hardly like havin a hatchback is it

Has less boot space (even before I put in all my ICE but otherwise as far as I know everything else is the same dimensions :dontknow:

Good luck with the sale MrEdge, looks like a nice buy. There aren't enough blue tintops left for my liking. It looks like the bids are creeping up nicely, all the best.

I only have the two lap belts
so seating is me as driver,  Youngest (Amelia aged 2) Passenger seat in her car seat
Adam aged 6 and Helen aged 4sit with the lap belts on in the rear with Joanna my wife sat between them making sure they are okay
