Thats strong money, respray or not. Theres Series 1 GTI's going for less money than he wants. Unsurprisingly, it never sold :roll:

some people think that a car is worth what they have spent on it, kinda like these young lads with the big body kits stuck on there 1.1 saxo's asking 4k for them . it is nice but, but seems way too dear for what you'd be getting, although it is the small rear light one so not sure if that would make it worth that much?


he ain't got what he wanted for it any way.

 what a dreamer..it takes more than a coat of paint…and if i was really critical i would say its no even that nice :roll:

several reasons really…….all the trim is weathered or incorrect/missing, its got basic repainted 9 spokes, and its not a resto as such, just tarted up…he should take the money that was bid imo

?2800 is far too strong money small lights or not, if it was an early Gti then maybe, but not a 1.1

Unfortunately with all things "ebay rare" people look at values of some things that sell for good money, not necessarily the true worth, and price their car accordingly……….

I looked on ebay for a VR6…….found one that looked nice and just watched it a few days…seller was summink like "singh2005"……by the end of the 3rd day it had about 20 bids on it……and guess what……ALL the bidders bar a couple all had simmilar sounding names to the seller and had registered a few days before!! :roll:
i think a few aunties and uncles and friends had been enlisted to "help" his sale along needless to say it went silly money then didnt sell, anyway i got a far better car by looking around

They are about mate you just gotta get lucky, and if you have the cash just be bold enough to offer money on a decent one straight away

would you pay more than that? don't like the car at all the colour looks like primer, hate black wheels the seats are a joke, this car needs to be as standard as poss and mint to be anywhere near ?2800 ohh and a decent Standard colour

Check out the lack of paint on the boot floor and the bonnet hinges - used to be mars red I think.
