Look at the state of my bonnet!

My other half decided it would be a good idea to light up a fag in our garage using a candle and then left the candle on my bonnet and forget about it!

This is after I scraped off about half a pound of wax, and tried to buff it out with G3, which as you can see, did sod all as it's burnt the paint clean off!

Least you didnt have the bonnet up, otherwise candle could have been left on engine and come back to no car.

Candle & fag… in a garage with a car with petrol in it I assume, could have been more than a bit of burnt paint considering the mk1's pontential for fuel/vapour leaks 8O .

That would really get on my wick! Certainly not the kind of wax people normally put on their cars :wink:
