inner sills
i`m looking for some inner sills for my mk1 project, i`ve done a few searches on here and other forums and all i`m finding is threads saying they`re not available , yet when i google picture the topic i`ve found pics of new inner sills being fitted to mk1s :dontknow:
it`s hardly likely that they used to be available but not any more, surely there are more mk1`s being restored now than years ago ?
here`s couple of pics of the inner sills , can anyone please let me know where these can be bought

I know this is an old thread from 2012, but does anyone know if these parts are still available?
Thanks

Proper inner sill sections aren't available. I am using inner sill sections from justcaddys for my gti resto.
They don't have the press markings on them but fit well

Do any companys produce a copy replacement inner sill panel like the one in this topic. Would really like on with the pressed detail to give that original look. I under stand the topic is old but the is always a need for good replacement panels

You could try this place, I bought a genuine outer sill for my resto a few years back from them- http://www.golf1onderdelen.com/categorie/golf1/plaatwerk-golf1/zijkant/

Thanks memorextape that a great find.
My other option if they can not help is to find a panel from another car that has pressed details that could be used to graft in to give that factory look.

You could also try making a press tool to put the details in yourself if you can't find another one, shouldn't be too hard to do just time consuming.

Not a bad shout. Planning to do the bodywork over the winter. So just pulling to get the part at the moment.
