I miss my mk1!
Rant over…roll on Saturday!
P.S - no offence to anyone who owns a Fezza! Not many I expect.

Absolutely dire! but 1 thing it has done is made me realise just how quick my mk1 is! I was a bit fed up with the mk1 after spending countless hours on it but now I'm really looking forward to getting it back!
It'll all be worth it in the end just hang in there!

I've been driving my girlfriend's Pug 106 while mine's in the garage. Dare I say it, I actually enjoyed it a little bit. ops:
Very chuckable
Aaaannnd before I stir up a hornets nest of begrudged GTI drivers - I'm not knocking the golf's handling… it's just I drive a clipper and I'm scrawny as you like.
That is all.

Ha ha I did nearly buy a 106 last year (long before I got the golf)!
The car was with Tinkler Brothers in Ramsey which is near Huntingdon. Out of convenience initially because it's about 5 doors down from my house, but it turned out they're actually very very good. Really good guys, not the usual rusty spanner type at all. Always listen to what you've got to say and then offer advice rather than just diving in and charging you for stuff you didn't know you needed!
Oh and they almost always squeeze me in at short notice - got the fuel tank off and cleaned and back on in 2 days amongst all their other work. Couldn't ask for more really!
Much better than the garage I used to take my fiat to - came back with a dent in the sump made by a trolley jack no less.
