how much is a refurbished shell for a golf mk1?

how much is a refurbished shell for a golf mk1? i know that MG, i think heritage makes shells anyone??

As far as I know, nobody makes refurbished shells for Mk1 Golfs. VW stopped doing them a long time ago.

i'm surprised that no one has catered for this. I know someone that sand blasts TR6 shells, repairs the rot and coats them with primer and sells them on, and makes a good living out of it.

Not really comparable - you can find a pretty much rust free mk1 for ?2000-?3000, so no real demand. TR6's are far less in number, older, more prone to rot and a good one's gonna cost ?8000 or more.
