How many are left?

Is there a record of how many MK1's are left on the road, I know some clubs can get info from DVLA. How many Early ones are about, I owned BGR 27S years ago, was blue, and rotten, thats all I can remember about it  Was an early one with the single round speedo and fuel gauge dashboard, Might have a photo somewhere but beware Im in it with hair!!!! :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:

I wrote to DVLA a while back, and it was about 9000 hatchbacks and 9000 cabbys. It might be worth writing again, to see how the figures now, compare with the figures then.
