help please im confuzzled

what fuse would cause my instrument panel to have no back lighting as at night i cant see my speedo etc etc

if its your speedo you cant see at nite then it may well be no.3 as that will do all lighting and accesories inside the car.

Are all the dash lights gone? If heater controls/ciggy light etc are still lit then its not the fuse. Often the bulbs in the instrument cluster go over time ands never get replaced as a PITA to get at them.

May sound daft but loads of us have done it, Have you turned the little side ways on, thumb wheel under the switch, it's a dimmer, although the copper windings can get a bit grubby.

Yeah mine were like that when I got it. quick squirt of wd40 into the dimmer and it's as good as new!!!
