reliable, sturdy, everything worked,. ……. im going to stop now
before I put a for sale post up again.
Seriously, keep at it, it will get there in the end, and have a look
at some of the project threads, there are cars in a lot worse state
than yours (and mine) and fixing them is half the fun .
Cheers

there's a reason.
Seriously, I have almost given up about 3 times already, with every bolt that I round and that takes a day longer than it should….
But I'm building the dreamboat!!! I just think about driving in the sun in the coolest car ever made, and beaming cos I made it that way.
Keep on keeping on.

Since owning it, same old thing you find everything youre not happy with that you dont find when viewing, ive had to fix a fuel leak, struggling to find anyone who will set up the camber correctly, keeping draining the battery down and dont know why and now my exhaust knocks..
Everything i find wrong is an excuse to make it even better, ill keep going..

I got side tracked a coupe of months ago with a possible Golf gti which just had a full respray with photo's of prep work (very nice) or a TR6 fully body off restro, by the time a finished making my mine up I lost out on the Golf.

Clean and Polish her up,I mean give her the WORKS inside and OUT
Spend bit of time on her and give 110%
And when finished just sit back and Admire all your Hard work 8)
Take her for Nice Drive and watch everyone else admire her too 8)
You will soon change your mind
MK1's are the Best 8)

sorry for any confusion, I just think it's one of hte nicest I've seen.
mine is this:
currently looking something like this:
for loads more pics and progress, check my resto thread (in sig.)
Honestly, the best remedy for throw-the-towel-in-itis is a resto thread that people leave motivational feedback on! Take heed folk, go post on my resto thread!
Peace.
