gx question?

Hi, im going to look at an 83 GX. Looks nice enough condition but doesnt have part chrome bumpers or the chrome strip about the rear number plate recess. Were these optional on GX? also has single light grille

i have a gx and dont have chrome strip bumpers not easy to get hold of (well im struggling to get some) and cant say i have seen a chrome strip around the number plate recess off the top of my head.

I suppose it depends how much you paying and what you want to do with whether you think this is important as i bought mine for ?500 as a project car.

thanks for the fast reply. Its just over a grand, but im not really looking for something that needs alot of work, just a spruce up and a good old clean. Im happy enough if the paint work is in good condition and is rust free but that is asking alot……….but if he is asking a grand….i guess it must be  :dontknow:

chrome bumpers where standard not Optional.
no chrome strip around number plate.
GX for the win.

i meant the chrome strip just above the the number plate recess and above the lights

There was a thread a couple days ago which went into quite some detail about the GX specification and included scanned pics from the brochure. Worth a search/find/read?

chrome strip on tailgate is standard yes.
