GTI 1983 eBay. Is it worth?

I am looking for a MK1 GTI 1.8, Here in Italy prices are quite high. This one, provided it is an original GTI (on the back there is a GL sticker…), seems okay. Price is 3500 euro, i.e 2600 quids.

Is it worth a 100 miles trip to see it?

Looks nice, all you can do about the GL badge is ask him about it?

Does look like a GTI though

Its got MFA so gotta be GTI aint it ?

Helious Blue aswell so probably a "campaign" or "pirelli edition" for mainland europe

If its in as good condition as it looks in the photo's I would say worth the trip

if youre gonna have a look at it check the sticker on the inside of the door which gives the fuel octane minimum

if it is a gti it shouldnt be less than 98roz
