Grey Golf is too grey
My car is too grey! I was thinking of getting some brighter car seat colours, as you can see from the pics below, the interior also has a fair bit of black. So, black, grey, navy and white: there's too many colours going on in my opinion.
I was thinking of maybe getting black seat covers (boring I know, but it will match the black bits of the interior at least), and coupling that with a change to the inner (currently white) roof. Is there a product I can apply to dye it to navy as well? Or black? Alternatively, anyone got any opinions about covering the entire thing with something else? Eg, I could branch out to red, and couple it with red car seat covers.
So, what do you reckon? Here are some picks of current boring grey:
The paintwork is good at least:

The pussy's name is Polly. Nobody knows who her dad is…possibly not even her mum
I don't like the snow flake alloys either. I preferred my Rivage ones, and considered swapping them, but the Rivage wouldn't be a Rivage without the 15" wheels. Bit of a bummer, as the new wheels are 14" and I now have a set of 15" snow tyres! Ah well.
The Rivage is still for sale. Luckily, my ex boyfriend and his new girlfriend are lovely lovely people who are minding it off-road for me

Quite a few cabbies around too, but they're mostly in pretty bad shape (except for this one black one locally, which has a beautiful interior and exterior, but the back window still has the black vinyl roof in its place!). Lots of white ones with rust coming through and torn up seats.
I can't say I've ever seen an Oettinger unfortunately. In fact, finding my GTI (cabbies were called GLIs here to differentiate, so technically, I've got a GLI) was pretty difficult. I haven't seen many GTI/GLIs at all.

I'm sensing a flaw in your 'keep it original' logic there
Bling white interior would get dirty very quickly. I wonder if I can make the interior roof grey…has anyone ever dyed this bit before?

not really cos assumin no ones altered it b4 u then the original buyer must have chosen the all grey schemeThe_Chocoholic said
So, don't dye or re-cover the internal roof, even though the Quartet came with various roof colour options, but refurb the wheels?

The original buyer also chose to leave the wheels the way they are…did he not?
