Getting parts for MK1's

I wanting to get a MK1, how easy is it to get parts these days it's just I don't see many MK1's on the road. I see loads of MK2's but not MK1's why is this??

Its easy.

Mk2s are younger and tend to be less rusty.

Very easy to get parts you have Crazy quiffs, BigBoysToys they do everything

And there's GSF / ECP etc etc etc oh, and the Mk1 Forum where everything is available if the price is right  :mrgreen:

Get a Mk1 mate,there is always people on here that will gladly help out with anything you need, 95% of things you might need for servicing you can still get off the shelf+ by putting up some pics on here we can all see what your up to and the fact that this is the best website

Get friendly with your local parts place. We go to our local independent place and they can get a lot of consumables, like brakes, running gear and engine bits.

A lot of the 'oily bits' are common between models so are pretty easy to get.

The hardest bits to get are very early parts that were only used for a few years of production and to a certain extent interior trim.
