Getting Excited

Put a thread up a little while ago - I sold my mk1 series 2 golf to buy a 1976 series 1 golf. The engine is now in and will be MOT'd very soon. I then got some body work to do and then I am half way there. Cannot wait to get back behind a MK1 golf!!

I bought the car with the engine out of the car so all the pieces were there to put back in. I will have some bits and pieces left over so if you are looking at doing the same happy to help with parts. Also got wolfsburg steering wheel spare.

cheers mate - yeah was owned by Muska. Have done my research on this and seen the other two. Love the 20vt but price was a bit too rich for my blood!! Got some bodywork to do to bring it back to original state but loved the fact they are quite rare. Other than that will put some new wheels on, retrim the interior and headlining and then enjoy the car and have a big smile on my face....love it already and not even driven it yet!!

I love dub76 golf and you can see the love that has gone into it so no doubt the money is right just thought I would spend a bit and bring one back to life and put some love back in myself. Be great to get them all together - Will send updated pics when it gets done up!!

mate that is gonna be one serious piece of kit when its finished
i look forward to seeing it in the flesh, and hopefully owning it when you get bored
just out of interest have you decided what rims will you be running on it??
ive got a mint set of chewed up ronal turbo's that would look lush on there

ha ha nice one Mr Little!!! Still thinking about the rims….bbs E30's perhaps if I sell my kidney. Also seen some nice ones in the US that been thinking about as cheap but need someone to photoshop them on for me to see what they look like.

Chewed up Ronals suit your car mate - it is all the rage in Moldova I hear

very good dan
e30's look lush mate there are a set on edition i believe,
you are right about the price though they are silly dough,
by the way my lithuanian style ronals are actually surplus to requirements now as i have sourced some gold bbs 15's (im giving it the turkish look now, euro look is so yesterday)

the u.s rims sound interesting though, any pics mate??
oh and can i get a heads up from anyone selling pressed turkish number plates please
fenebache crest not essential

Look forward to seeing the pics mate!!! yeah undecided on the wheels but will not be getting them until next year anyway so plenty of time to choose. These were the ones I was looking at:

I haven't got any Turkish plates but reckon you should put one of those hookah smoking pipes between the front and back seats and retrim with a nice authentic carpet…be a good look mate
