Fun day on a Welsh hill
Then we went onto the Horseshoe Pass, its the first time I'd been and it was fantasic scenery, but I had to concentrate a lot on keeping the car on the road! Then we stopped and had a cuppa and a bite to eat at a caf? at the top:
Then we decided to go for a drive to seek more scenery. At this point, I decided it would be a good idea to leave the metalled road and head onto the scenery itself:
Then it went bad…..there was an off road area with some kind of dirt track, we decided it would be a good idea to go on this. Here's a couple of videos, firstly my attempt at scaling an approx 1 in 4 muddy hill (auto, remember):
Here's GammygolfGTI's attempt:
And here's Chrisarny's attempt:
Then we drove round the track, trying to find an exit off it, and getting somewhat bogged down and confused until we found the way out. So, finally we ended up the day with quite a bit of the 'scenery' attached to the cars:
Note Danny's car in the background, he did the sensible thing, left his car parked by the roadside, and walked over to the mud pit.

We then proceeded to have a race, Paul had the lead on the outside line, closely followed a closing up the gap by myself and ChrisArny driving inside & broadside like a nutter

Hello Anji, didnt take too long to clean, though the mud dried on the trip home and looked like a proper little off roader , Chris is probably still cleaning the interior of his *mental note* shut window next time your off roading
Hey Gammy, long time no speak - loving the paint job on your car now. Pity I never had the same "*mental note *" to put roof BACK UP on the way up from Santa Pod to stop from getting soaked and looking like a lemon on the M6 with everbody and their grandparents laughing at me
