French Mk1's!!

I went to the south of France on me jollies a couple of weeks ago. We drove down to where we were staying in La Reole and the first car I see as we drive into the village is this…

She was up for sale for 1900 euro not a bad price me thinks. She looked in really good nick too, they don't see much rain down there so don't suffer too much from rust.
In the week that I stayed I saw four mk1 cabbies in the village two white one black and the silver one. All had the tops down and as it is generally between 30 and 40 degrees there in the summer they sure have the weather for it. I was sick with jelousy and wished i'd driven over!!!

Yep, there's loads down south. I picked mine up from Avignon.

Hmm, nope, I haven't sold it yet. I can only guess the mileage (135,000 on a 1992 reg) is putting people off, even though the engine runs better in the Rivage than it does in the new Quartett (same setup under the bonnet).

…and maybe the time of year and bad summer…  :dontknow:
