As you can see, it was green, when it should have been Mars red!

Interior is pretty decent, I like the 80s EQ/pre-amp ICE set up. Haven't seen one of those since my mate Richard's orange Morris Ital in 1986 (doughnuts round the roundabout on the seafront in Seaton, now THAT was a car):



First clean. If only it stayed like that…(minus the orange bonnet):

That's no question for a lady! It wasn't an 'old-man-happened-to-have-it-lying-around-and-didn't-know-wh
at-they-had' kind of bargain. It was pretty much on the button from the price guide on here, I'm just happy to have it!

I had a fantastic Mk1 1.3 4 door Mars Red when I was 18 (1994? I forget!) and always wanted a GTI. Same story as most people on here I would guess! Couldn't believe it when I saw it, just what I was after.  

was it local? if so how didnt i find it! i was up at c&n in mine the other week

Yeah, it was local mate, but well hidden - disguised under a load of green!
