finally off the road

I've finally had to put gruber off the road, due to my month old new daily drive vw lupo having ecu problems (garage has had it for 2 weeks now, plums).  have been driving grubs for 2 weeks to work 50 miles round trip, and on thursday 3 unamusing things happened within 15 mins.

driving out of bicester i hear glass splintering…i think i've hit a bottle on the road and am waiting for the flapping of a flat tyre… i think i hear this just south of the north abingdon slip road.. in the overtaking lane, i slow down to let someone on my inside past so i can pull in and trundle up to the layby, as he does he's looking at my passengerside wheel where all the vibration and noise is coming from.

i finally get to the layby and it starts raining.. thanks! … i get out my passengerside has lost a bolt!!! surprising as  i couldn't undo any of them to get the locking wheel nuts on, i might be a girl but i'm not weak by any sense of the word and they were welded in as far as i was concerned.  anyway the tyres sound no deflation, no other wheels affected… i'm thinking poop something else has gone, i waggle the wheel and check driver side for comparison, can't see any differnce.

now due to the saga with the garage and my lupo I have no phone call credit left (?15 wasted on trying to get lupo sorted!) so i have to text the bf to get him to come help me out.  he can't find anything wrong with it either. so he follows me the 2 junctions to work and leaves me to it.

i phone the RAC and they come out later to tow me home, the passengerside cv joint has disintegrated!  no warning! i'm used to cv joints going and i know the symptoms but this one just WENT i had no idea there was anything wrong until thursday mornign when it died.

anyway… i'm sorning her to do the other work on her.  does mean that i'm carless, despite having 2 cars! how annoying is that!

anyone else had an infuriating 2 weeks like that? lol i' hope not, i'm ready to slash throats at the garage with my lupo.

BEWARE KY05 UCO, blind and deaf white haired driver of red transit, avoid at all costs, he thinks running cars on to the verge is ok. i'm fine, car's fine, mood and make up not so good.
