Essential Basic Tools

Right then here i go…..

I've decided to take the Mk1 off the road early this year to try and put the car back to as original as possible myself, i have use of a garage with a pit, plenty of space, electricity and water but what i'm lacking are tools. I have no mechanical experience (was a chef now work in an office) but i have plenty of time and friends to help along the way.

My question to you is what tools i should be investing in, i've read on here that some people recommend ratchet spanners (they are on my list) but is there anything else that i should not be without starting off.

but in all honesty

a nice socket set with a few different bits in is a good place to start

then a good seletion of spanners, rachet spanner are nice but not nessary

then a screwdriver set and a bit hammer for hitting things with
