EMERGENCY...HELP REQUIRED

i have done gearchange linkage and i cannot get it set up. currently cannot select any gears and the rubber ball will not stay in housing.  i don't know where i have gone wrong but advice would be much appreciated.

Please help me i am losing the will to live..

Have you looked thru / followed the gear linkage thread in the technical section ? pretty much gives a comprehensive guide on replacing everything  :dontknow:

followed it to the letter, just can't get the damn thing right.

all done !!! yipee, worked back through the guide, had something thwe wrong way round, fixed and know all done !!

good to see you sorted it yourself, cos i didn't know the answer :roll:

just as well eh.  was running out of time to pick kids up from school and ended up rushing. cost me about 2 hours extra work and messing about.
