Early westermold grille's

I've just come across two early westermold mk1 rabbit grille's and i'm wondering are they worth anything/are they worth buying as i have the oportunity to buy them along with some parts for my mk1.

The first of the grille's looks like the grille on this car: (picture borrowed from a members thread :) )

The second grille is similar but it is a honeycomb design with chrome stripes and looks like this:

I'd love one for my car and that's a fact.

Been looking for one of these for a while, if you do get them would love to take one off you.

Worth buying though, if you don't give me the details of the seller i will definitely buy them.

Dont you need the wings also to make it fit?

I think the wings are the same, the front panels are different as they don't have the recess at each side like our round headlight ones do. That's not too noticeable though.

The hardest parts to get are the headlights and all the headlight mounting parts. Does anyone have a Bentley manual for Westmoreland rabbits? It might be worth looking in there to see what else would be required to fit the grille/lights

I dont think the westy grille fits into the hole in the front panel as the hole on ours are the same width but not the same height

(Pic borrowed from a member)

The westy grille looks bigger. Look at the distances between the top of the bumper iron holes and the grills

You can see the difference in gaps better here

Small bumpers on westy

Small bumpers on mine

Looks like the whole front panel is needed or extensive mods.

Worth the effort I'd say! And I saw it second, well first, well you know what I mean!

It looks like they're worth getting even if i don't use them myself.

The only dilemma i have now is, what do i pay for them?/how much should i offer the guy? I don't want to be ripped off but at the same time i don't want to take the mick.

Luckily shipping from the usa isn't a problem as if i get them they will be coming with a load of bits I've bought myself.

Cool! I've seen Zender stuff go for around ?50.00. All depends on what he wants for them and what condition they are in. I'd offer him ?80 for the pair and work from there.
