early spec chrome metal bumpers? am i missing something

over the last 2 weeks  there has been a couple of sets  on ebay  

and they have sold for around ?400  

am i missing somethink  as quiffs  have them listed as in stock  and only  just over ?400 for the set new  

 what am i missing? why are they going for mega money on ebay for ?

because not everyone knows about crazy quiff.
because some people want genuine articles rather than copies.

no the bumpers on ebay  were all copy sets  not genuine lol

proberly just me  being tight haha

One of the sets had one repro and one genuine bumper. They went for almost ?400 I think

Some company should catch on and make a few chrome bumpers for ?250 and clear up. Every show would be layden with mk1's sporting maximum chromes and they'd drop out of fashion. Ending in them all being dumped on ebay  

I can understand collectors wanting originals, i like them but im not fussed about originality more the look.

It is about ?500 from Rich when you add up the cost of postage and the rubbing strips to go with the kits.
