does your car atract asses

mine does, If i'm in any other car it doesn't hapen, but when i'm in the mark1 people are always trying to over take me and cut me up.
I think it may be because I have a GTI badge on the back.
It must be on the list of things people have to do before they die, overtake/undertake a car with gti on it. :dontknow:

1457 gx, matalic green. 5 door.

you should try putting "L" plates in the window.

it then sames like they must get past you at all cost!!

lol get it all the time !
im getting it even more at the min but thats my fault as im running the engine in and can only do 60 mph, they love me on the motorways at the minute.
just be better when my engine is ran in and they go to pass me and i just put my foot to the floor sure some of them will have a pleasant surprise

It's even worse when you're in a tiny type of car. I had a Fiat 126 once ( ), even if I was exceeding the speed limit in town and keeping up with everyone else and driving normally people just had to overtake me for the sake of it because I was really small, it's like a power trip or summat.
I get left alone in the Mk1, when you've got 'Golf C' on the back nothing's expected and I can just cruise along with everyone else, in a nice looking car getting 60mpg. If I had a powerful engine conversion I'd still keep the 'Golf C' badge on for the wolf in sheep's clothing effect! I can see why people would do it

You get both extreams, either people being especially curteous or people being utterly unbelievable asses in my experience.

but then you hop in a jag xkr or something and do 10mph under the limit and noone will overtake. it's wierd!

I seem to get the complete opposite.

Smiley, happy, wavey people when i'm in the Golf, and angry, miserable w@nker sign people when i'm driving my Subaru.

Same driver, same driving style (different speeds) massive difference. :dontknow:

Driver driver.

Well that's because a good percentage of Subaru drivers are! Don't know if it's dependant on area or because they're so cheap. Obviously not trying to imply you are.

As for the Golf so far it's all positive, my brother was getting fed up of being stopped to talk about every 5 minutes. Perhaps, again, varies depending where you live.

I just tend to get random people smiling and waving when I park up, but if I'm on the motorway and I come up behind someone they always tend to move over and then look confused when I crawl past on 1.3 powah

i get boy racers looking at my car in disgust, then crying as i power away from their modded 1L sheds.

or expensiver cars steer clear of me as poor old gruber looks like nothing much with her peely skin and they don't want to be associated with us.. or they expect me to be the worst woman driver in the world and pull into them??? i'm not sure which…

my vrs attracts more arses as they don't know what vrs stands for and see a girl driving, they think that at the golden 70 sign after road works and things i'll still sit at 40/50mph then get ANGRY when i pull away.. like i'm not allowed to boot up just cos i'm in the 'slow lane'…*chortle*

BEWARE KY05 UCO, blind and deaf white haired driver of red transit, avoid at all costs, he thinks running cars on to the verge is ok. i'm fine, car's fine, mood and make up not so good.

lol i know what everyone is on about,i call it the small cock syndrome where these wee boys think they have to get past or when they do go past they gotta rev there chav mobiles.its funny really.

on the whole ive found that genearlly i get more respect driving the mk1 clipper and often get people smiling at the me ,

but the worst offender are WANKSALL drivers they trully are muppets.

great thing with the mk1 is how quicky they are from say 30 to 50 mph ive peed off a number of new cars and my cars an auto but it picks up prett sharp when needed, but od doing that as the fuel guage moves to fast when your having fun

I'm driving a mates Mini at the mo, and everyone tries to over take it!

We were going rather quick today and some pillock overtook in his big audi, then realised to overtake us he must have been doing a ton or so and slowed down to 50!!!!!!

needless to say i cruised passed him without having to move my right foot.

Seems if a car is small and slow looking people don't check it's speed before they overtake it!!! seems silly to me?

Jon.

'The W*nker Magnet' is an unspecified extra on the Golf and is mounted just behind the rear bumper, it attracts any muppets that are in the area and makes them drive a inch away from the back of your car!!

I think it does, for some reason this knob in a Pug 407 saw the need to prove he can drive fast and overtook me on a corner onto a motorway.
I dropped back as he attempted to take the front off my Golf and allowed him to continue on his journey to an early grave.
His penis is obviously far bigger than mine.

Only the occasional butt head. Most of my little b-road tussles are with cool cars, something to do with working at a place that engineers cars probably…

So far I've pitted my 9a'd mk1 against various quarry:

* 205 gti with a 2.0 16v mi16 engine in. Had an absolute hoot there. On the straights he couldn't pull away and then in the corners I got raped until I melted my pads and had to stop. I then went and looked at his brakes in the car park the next day, they were the size of DINNER PLATES. And he had no rear seat, cheating scummer. Came up against him again with him behind me and saved face. Felt like I was back in the 80's. I think he's turboing it now…  8O

* mk6 golf gti, another dude from work, I had him down the b-road corners and then when we pulled out onto a dual carriageway there was no difference at all up to 100 leptons, then there was traffic, funtime over. I think there's a rematch on the cards though. Nice to know I can keep up with vws latest gti offering in my original without spending ?23k, granted mine breaks all the time but meh. And I got to inhale fresh catalitic converter being burnt and engine getting leathered for the first time in its life no doubt. hahaha

* bmw 540 v8, I see this guy regularly, also works at same place as me and his motor is a source of much annoyance. He always manages to overtake me so painfully slowly that I'm sure we could wind down our windows and play a game of chess. Gutted.

various other motors, cant be arsed to type anymore, gotta go wash the car…  8)
