Golf with attitude!

What an amazing thing of beauty! Want one now, don't care about fuel mileage.

2 tintops.
3 cabbies, 1 with G60 power, just for fun.
Volvo T5, just for fun.
3.1Ltr V6 Dutton Leggera, just for fun.
Renault 5 GT Turbo, just a money pit!
Several boring cars, just no fun!

It wasn't really a show as such where they won anything, it was just them all parked up while they wernt racing, I'm not sure what block it was he obv had the rocker cover done with the vw touch, even tho it was a hot rod weekend with a pre 73 class this go sooooo many looks it was unreal,

From what I could see he had made like a box frame that the block just sat on,

Waterworx I'm not quite sure what u mean about putting the engine in that way? Isnt that the way they sit normally?

No mate, they are normally transverse with the gearbox to the right side not the back.

I might be wrong, but it looks very like a Rover V8 in there. Gearboxes are always mounted behind the engine with V8's as they are almost always rear wheel drive or occasionally 4wd such as Audi and Mercedes, and then they'd have a transfer box.
I bet that surprises a few people when it's ticking over at the lights.

No mate, a normal Mk1 engine whatever size sits in the car 45 degrees anti clockwise to the lump in that fire breathing animal.

The rocker cover would normally be running side to side not front to back so the gearbox would be o the right side of the engine looking in on the engine or pointing toward the passenger side wing.

The V8 has the gearbox fitted to the rear so he would have had to make some serious structural alterations to the bulkhead of the car I reckon.
