diffrent side strips for diffrent models?

hi im just wondering if certain models had certian side strips as thairs so many diffrent ones only reason im asking is i have a set from a cabby and would like to know what model thay came from

i believe there are 2 types. fat and thin. later cabs had fetter ones. some chrome some black. don't think they came in other colours but could well be wrong on that

i have a set of the fat ones thair just plain black

There were at least 5 types:

Thin black - mostly on 3 door cars
Chrome & black on GLS etc 4 door tin tops
Wide black and chrome on later GLS etc 4 door tin tops
Wide black on Clippers mostly
Wide black and chrome on Gti Cabs
