Desperately seeking... A621 EJF

I'm sure there are plenty of people out there like me.
I used to own a Black Mk1 Golf GTi, Reg: A621 EJF and sold it in 2009. I regretted it shortly after, but since then it has been sold on at least twice more.
It's not in particularly good condition, but it's amazing what sentiment does. I've been searching for it for over a year already.
Does anyone know where it is now? DVLA say it is still taxed, so I know it's still alive, but won't tell me anymore than that.
It has been suggested that it may be near Denton, Manchester, but I have nothing to back this up.

The DVLA, police and insurance comapnies just won't give me that data protected information I need. It's so wrong.

Any assistance/ideas would be greatly appreciated.
