dashboard glare
hi guys
in my mk1 when driving into the sun i get a reflection of the dashboard onto the windscreen which can reduce the visibility
now i got a mint dash off ebay and and i need any ideas on what to do
ive seen what flocking can do which seems good
i have spoken to a trimmers and they do say the mk1 dash can be a pain to get right if recovering with alternative materials [ i dont want leather or massive expense]
can anyone recommend the best course of action with regards to material? or any other ideas
the dash is in a mk1 cabby

Use a matt cleaner and not the shiney ones. had same problem on my old gti and it almost caused me to crash on the way to inters 8O

Yeah, matt finish cleaning wipes would be good - Lidl have them in this week!
Otherwise as you said flocking is a nice choice, rally/motorsport cars use flocking to prevent the reflection as you've described.
Frost restoration supplies do a flocking kit - or there is someone on Retro rides forum offering dashboard flocking for around ?100 - I don't think that's exchange but you'd have to remove your dash, send it off and it's returned flocked.
