I bought a water proof non custom one from Halfords a few years ago and its been great. Its got a soft fiber inner lining and the outer is a waterproof silver material, don't know the make. It cost around ?40 at the time but is not custom to the Mk1. However they don't last for ever and after a few years the cover becomes quite easy to rip if you pull on it, I use duct tape to patch any rips!

try….Car covers on 01933 410851 They say they cover anything..or
www.covercraft-europe.com or
www.classicadditions.co.uk or
www.permabag.co.uk or
www.airflow-uk.com.
I am after a cover but have not got one yet…not been onto any of these sites so if they are crap sorry…They are all in the back of Classic and Sports car mag.
Make sure you get a good one as I came back from Iraq to find silver marks all over the car a load of paint missing from where the strap was rubbing under the side sills….
A mate of mine has a minter of a Cooper "s" and his is fluffy inside….Sounds gay I know but its fits perfect and is really thick. It cost him a ?100 a few years back so expect to pay a bit more…
I have learned the hard way with my covers………….buy cheap, buy twice!

tbh, im a bit annoyed, i splashed out and paid for a 40 quid cover, meant to be breathable etc but in the british weather, the damp air got inside i spose, lot of condensation etc... wasnt really very impressed, but definetely better than leaving it exposed, also try and get one with elaztic to tie it down cos mine keeps blowing off.

argos do one that fits almost perfect. i place a blanket under it but it is lined. i had to put straps onto it so it didn't blow away but other than that its been perfect and only cost 20 quid (or maybe less cant remember)
