crystal clear rear lights and the Law?

Dont ask what your club can do for you, but what can you do for your club?

the rule is that you have to have rear reflectors and you have to have the right colour bulbs shining through. ie - you should have red brake lights and orange indicators.

I'm using LEDs that are clear till they light up then they are the right colour the indicator bulbs are like clear blueish colour till they flash then they are the right colour. presume this is OK?

as long as they shine the right colour its ok. cool idea with the LED's. i used to have my indicators on my bumper but it looks terrible. Do you have a pic of your reflectors on the back?

The law is usually looking for E marking, but this is only relevant after April 1986. The bulbs will probably be E marked, so you could only get pulled up on the lens units.

You could take it down to a friendly MOT station and see if they'll advise you. :dontknow:

I agree. I can't see a problem with them at all not on any legal standing anyway! Provided they light in the correct colour and you have reflectors then it's god to go. Taking itr down to your local MOT station before you get it tested would be a good idea though.
