Crazy idea is it possible

Has anyone converted a 4door golf into a 2door????

its insane but im sure someone must have done it by now…

i have a 2door

and

2x 4door cti's and want to make one into a 2door as a project muhahaha :mrgreen:

It can be done, I know of a 4 door Jetta that was converted to 2 door. Not sure how you do it but will enough skills with a welder anything could be done

Do you mean just blanking the rear door off and using the original front doors or chopping the middle pillar and moving it to fit proper 2 door doors?

why im asking is because the poor mk1 is just standing and i wana bring it back to life in a insane fashion being unique makes all the difference :wink:

yh chop it but you would probly want a 3 dr as a donor thou, pointless in some respects, but a c]very good technecal exicess

surely it would be more rewarding to make your 4 door a cab.

Seen as you're going to butcher it anyway and it will require lots of effort.

Surely making a 4 door into a 2 door will just make it another 2 door. Why build something you can buy? If you do a good job then nobody will be able to see what youve done anyway! Why not do something to make the 4 door unique, like say suicide rear doors or all 4 doors suicide style. Or cut the middle pillar out and make double length doors. Think outside the box a bit fella.  :wink:

haha agreed with the other posts if your thinking of chopping a golf surely you might as well go all oout and do something completely different! the suicide doors would be funny but me n a mate were talking the other day actually something that we've only ever seen on a beetle. chop the roof! In my opinion how cool would a 4 door golf look with the roof 6 inches lower than it should be!
