colour code please is it manila??!!

i have spent hours/days/weeks!! trying to work out the right colour to paint my nearly finished resto
when you type a colour code into google or even look at sites that provide pics of colour codes it still doesn't seem consistant
So i just hope someone on here has the knowledge to sort this one out.

This is what i am trying to achieve: if anyone can put me in contact with the owner of this mk1 then i may be able to get the code off them?


is it manila green l63y??? - i'm not so sure
here are some pics that i recon are manila L63Y and the above pic looks to have much more yellow in it.






maybe manila green is one of those colours that looks very different in types of lighting etc.. I have bought so many tester pots of paint
using ICI now i am thinking i may need to use MIPA - would that make a difference.


these photo's are maigrun sprayed onto a spare rear quarter for testing - i like the look  of this colour but its still not the same as the top pic -
i am determined to find this colour  

The three greens which can look quite similar in different lights are manilla, lido and lofoten from memory.

The quarter you sprayed looks like manilla which is what that gls is.

The first pic looks almost like it could be a very faded lofoten green because of the yellow tint but I doubt it. Its probably just a bad light. And I think lofoten stopped in 76. I think thats a 78 judging by the 78 on the plate. I thin thats how it works? And it cant be lido green as thats a later colour..

So Id go for manilla in a bad light

Theres nothing to say it hasnt been resprayed in an earlier/later or different manufacturers paint though which is annoying

I had to edit this a few times so i could make sense of it so hope you can udnerstand it

I would say that it looks more like a splitscreen mango green?

looks Lido to me  :dontknow:
